Measure Your Compassion Satisfaction and Fatigue

Take the PROQOL 5

The Professional Quality of Life Scale (PROQOL) is “the most commonly used measure of the positive and negative effects of helping others who experience suffering and trauma.” It was developed by Dr. Beth Hudnall Stamm and has been in use since 1995. It measures the satisfaction (compassion satisfaction) you derive from your work and the negative effects of workplace demands and exposure to other people’s distress or trauma (compassion fatigue subcategories: burnout and secondary trauma).

Take the PROQOL below to assess your level of professional well-being. Your score will display below the survey.

Substitute the term which applies to your profession for (help, helper, helping) i.e. (nurse, nursing), (teach, teacher, teaching), (counsel, counselor, counseling), etc.
